I had planned Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta for tonight’s dinner. Well what I hadn’t really clocked was that the sauce calls for hot sauce AND ketchup – both containing nightshade.
So…
I improvised.
Instead of the ketchup, I substituted horseradish sauce. You can get some that do not have nightshade in them [at least as far as I can tell]. I tasted it at that point and had hubby do so as well. He said it needed some onion powder… so we added onion powder and WOW.
He had me write down what I did because he wants us to make the sauce for other meals.
We used zucchini noodles [zoodles] as the base. Really good!
Now I want to try the bang bang shrimp tacos
